Pietro Pizzuto is Assistant Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Palermo. He has been a consultant to the IMF’s Independent Evaluation Office in 2019-20, helping with an assessment of IMF advice on the use of capital controls and updating an assessment of IMF forecasts. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Palermo. His main research interests cover a wide range of issues in the area of regional economics and macroeconomics.
