Rachael Kei Kawasaki

Rachael Kei Kawasaki is a Ph.D. candidate at Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Advanced Integrated Studies in Human Survivability with an expected graduation in 2023. Her research focuses on immigrant integration and attitudes towards immigrants, using quantitative methods and network science. She is currently a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, Department of Land Economy, studying the local contextual factors in integration outcomes for migrants in the United Kingdom (2021-2022). She has previously worked as an intern in the OECD’s International Migration Division studying the impact of COVID-19 on migration flows in Asia, and as an intern for UNESCO Bangkok’s Lifelong Learning and Literacy team, monitoring learning outcomes for migrant youth in non-formal learning centers.
