Rahi Abouk is an associate professor of economics and the Director of Cannabis Research Institute at William Paterson University. Dr. Abouk’s research interests lie in health economics and health policy. He investigates the effect of public policies targeting electronic and conventional cigarettes, alcohol, cannabis, and opioid drugs. Other lines of his research focus on the effect of in-utero environmental shocks and postnatal interventions on infant health. He is one of the recipients of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s prestigious Charles C. Shepard Science Award in Prevention and Control in 2018.
