Ratna Sahay is Deputy Director of the Monetary and Capital Markets Department (MCM) at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She leads research and policy projects in the monetary and finance areas. Her recent papers include topics on unconventional monetary policy and global spillovers, capital flows, financial deepening, financial inclusion, gender and finance, finance and inequality. She is also responsible for MCM’s bilateral surveillance support to member countries. She has published widely in leading journals and taught at Delhi University, Columbia University, and New York University. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from New York University, New York.
