Ravi Pendakur

Associate Professor, Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at University Of Ottawa

Ravi Pendakur holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Carleton University, a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University, and a B.A. in Sociology and Geography from the University of British Columbia. Prior to joining the University of Ottawa, he spent 18 years as a Researcher in a number of federal government departments including, Multiculturalism and Citizenship, Canadian Heritage, and Human Resources and Social Development. His research focuses primarily on diversity, with a goal toward assessing the socioeconomic characteristics of language, immigrant and ethnic groups in Canada and other settler societies.
