Ray is a senior lecturer in economics in the School of Business and Law at the University of Brighton. He holds a PhD from the University of Sussex. His research interests lie in the field of labour economics and education economics. His recent research has focussed on pay determination in higher education and graduate outcomes. He has recently completed commissioned research for the Office for Students on grade inflation.
