Ricardo Cabral

Assistant Professor, Researcher at University of Madeira

Ricardo Cabral is Assistant Professor at the University of Madeira since 2004 and a CEEAplA Researcher. In 2008-2009 he was on leave at the Portuguese Ministry of Finance and Public Administration. In 2006-2008 he was the Management and Economics Department chair and a member of the University’s administrative board. He is an Expert Evaluator for the European Commission since 2001 and in the past he has been a Consultant to The World Bank. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of South Carolina. His research interests focus on money and credit (financial intermediation and monetary policy) and on industrial organisation (merger policy, collusion).
