Richard J. Zeckhauser is the Frank Plumpton Ramsey Professor of Political Economy at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and an A.B. in Economics, Harvard College, summa cum laude. He is a fellow of the Econometric Society and the American Academy of Sciences, and is an elected member of the Institute of Medicine (National Academy of Sciences). Zeckhauser’s coauthored books include Targeting in Social Programs: Avoiding Bad Bets and Removing Bad Apples (2006), The Patron’s Payoff: Economic Framewroks for Conspicuous Commission in Renaissance Italy (2008), and Collaborative Governance: Private Roles for Public Goals (forthcoming). He is the author or coauthor of 250 articles.
