Rob Nijskens

PhD candidate in Department of Economics at Tilburg University

Rob Nijskens is a PhD candidate at the Department of Economics of Tilburg University, and a Junior Fellow at the European Banking Center. His research interests involve financial and monetary economics, with a focus on the banking sector, financial regulation and central banks. He works on empirical as well as theoretical topics, which mainly involve bank risk (individual and systemic), the effect of the financial safety net on bank behaviour and the involvement of central banks in financial stability. His work has been published in the Journal of Banking and Finance and the Handbook of Central Banking, Financial Regulation and Supervision.
