Robert Dekle

Professor of Economics at University of Hong Kong

Robert Dekle is Professor of Economics at the University of Southern California. He has worked for several years in institutions such as the Federal Reserve Board, the International Monetary Fund, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the Bank of Japan. His research interests are in international finance, development macroeconomics, and in trade, especially concerning the emerging Asian markets and Japan. He has recently written on the impact of productivity shocks and global financial liberalisation on the U.S. current account; and the role of exchange rates in adjusting trade balances.
