Robert Inklaar is a Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. His research has focused on international comparisons of economic growth and productivity and their driving forces. This research has resulted in numerous publications, in the American Economic Review, American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Econometrics, European Economic Review, Journal of Economic History, Economic Policy and the Review of Income and Wealth, as well as a co-authored book at Cambridge University Press. He is also one the developers of the Penn World Table and the Maddison Project Database.
