Roberto Nisticò is Full Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics and Statistics of the University of Naples Federico II. He is Research Felow at the IZA Institute of Labor Economics in Bonn and at the Center for Studies in Economics and Finance (CSEF) in Naples, and Research Affiliate at the CESifo Network in Munich. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Essex. His research focuses on development, labour and political economics. He published in high-rank journals such as Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Law and Economics, The Journal of Law, Economics and Organization, Demography, Economic Policy, among others. His research was funded by the European Economic Association, Unicredit Foundation, EIEF, UNU-WIDER, the Italian Ministry of University and Research, the Italian Social Security Institute (INPS) and the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes, (ANVUR). He was awarded the 2017 Etta Chiuri Prize by the Italian Society of Public Economics (SIEP) for the best paper written by authors under the age of 40.
