Roberto Piazza is an Economist in the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) where he works in the Multilateral Surveillance Division. Prior to that, he worked in the Monetary and Capital Markets, Middle East and Central Asia Departments of the IMF, and at the Bank of Italy. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota. His research interests include growth theory, monetary policy, and international macroeconomics.
