Roger Laeven

Professor of Risk and Insurance at University of Amsterdam

Roger J. A. Laeven (1979) is Full Professor holding the Chair of Risk and Insurance at the Department of Quantitative Economics, University of Amsterdam. His research spans probability and mathematical statistics, (micro) economic theory, actuarial science and mathematical finance and has appeared in top academic journals in these fields. His PhD thesis was awarded the Christiaan Huygens Prize by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. From 2007 Prof. Laeven is a Visiting Research Professor at Princeton University, Bendheim Center for Finance.
