Financial Sector Expert, Monetary and Capital Markets at International Monetary Fund

Rohit Goel is a Financial Sector Expert in the IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department. He contributes to sections of the Global Financial Stability Report and is a member of the Fund’s market surveillance team. He specializes in and has published on financial stability risks in emerging and frontier economies including portfolio flows, market liquidity trends and quantitative modelling across asset classes. His past work has also focused on global bank analysis, AE non-financial corporates and monetary policy transmission. Apart from multilateral surveillance, Rohit has also contributed to bilateral surveillance projects in Euro Area, China and South Africa. Prior to joining the IMF, Rohit worked as a ranked lead writing analyst at Barclays Asia Research. Rohit holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and an MBA in Finance from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
