Runjing is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Alberta. Her research interests span empirical finance, politics, and social media. Most recently, she studies how political and social media sentiment affect markets and households. Before joining University of Alberta, she obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from UC San Diego.
