Salvatore Nisticò is Full Professor of Economics at the Department of Social and Economic Sciences of Sapienza University in Rome. In 2021, he is short-term Principal Economist at the ECB, DG-Research, MPR. He holds a B.A. in Economics from LUISS G. Carli and a PhD in Economics from University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. His main research areas are closed- and open-economy macroeconomics, monetary economics and central banking. Salvatore Nisticò is author of papers published in leading academic journals.
