Salvatore Torrisi

Salvatore Torrisi is Professor of Economics and Management at the University of Bologna where he coordinates a course in the Economics and Management of Innovation for the Doctoral Program in Management. He is a Research Associate of CESPRI-Bocconi University of Milan. He graduated from Bocconi University in Italy (Major: Economics) and obtained a PhD from the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of Sussex in the UK. His research focuses on the impact of technology on firms' performance and the models of protection and commercialisation of technological assets. He is currently responsible for the Italian team of the "Study on the effects of allowing patent claims for computer-implemented inventions", EC-DG IS (main contractor: MERIT, University of Maastricht, NL).
