Professor of Economics at University of the Basque Country

Sara de la Rica is a Full Professor of Economics at the University of the Basque Country (Spain). She is a Research Fellow at FEDEA, as the Director of the Research Grant "Fuentes Quintana" Bank of Spain-FEDEA. Her research is focused on the empirical analysis of the labour market. More specifically, her work can be divided mainly on three different topics: gender economics, the economic analysis of immigration and the economic analysis of labour institutions – in particular, unions and labour contracts. She has published her research in high-quality journals of labour economics like Journal of Population Economics, Industrial and Labour Relations Review, Journal of Human Resources, contributions to Economic Analysis from Berkeley Electronic Press Journals, British Journal of Industrial Relations, Economica and Spanish Economic Review, among others.
