Sebastian Fleitas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at UC-Chile and a Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Prior to joining PUC-Chile, Sebastian was an Assistant Professor at KU Leuven and a visiting Scholar at Northwestern University.
Sebastian’s research interests are in industrial organization, health economics, public economics and economic history. His research agenda focuses on the performance, design and regulation of markets with strong dynamic incentives. In particular, he has studied the effects on firms and consumers of different aspects of contractual forms, such as risks sharing schemes or length of contracts, in the health care and financial sectors.
