Sebastian Weber

Economist at European Central Bank

Sebastian Weber currently works as Economist for the European Central Bank. He is on leave from the International Monetary Fund, where he worked in the Research Department, following positions in the European and African Department. He holds a PhD and a Masters in International Economics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and has previously studied Politics and Economics at the University of Cape Town and the University of Hamburg, where he obtained a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics. His research interests include labour markets, monetary policy and international macro and finance. Sebastian has been a Consultant for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the World Bank. He also worked as an Intern at Deutsche Bank Research and the European Central Bank.
