Semih Akcomak

Associate Professor and Director of the Science and Technology Policy Research Center at Middle East Technical University

İbrahim Semih Akçomak is an associate professor at the Middle East Technical University, Ankara and the director of Science and Technology Policy Research Center (TEKPOL) at METU. He holds a PhD from Maastricht University and has research experience in various institutions including UNU-MERIT, UNU-WIDER, University of Essex and the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis. His research has appeared in various outlets including leading journals such as the Economic Journal and European Economic Review. He currently works on understanding the evolution of science, technology and innovation policies, technology traps in developing countries and knowledge convergence and cohesion in European countries.
