Shengyu Li joined UNSW in 2018. Before that, he obtained a PhD in Economics at the Pennsylvania State University in 2014 and worked as a Lecturer in Economics at Durham University, United Kingdom, during 2014-2018. Shengyu Li’s research interests lie in the intersection of Industrial Organization and International Trade with special focuses on firm heterogeneity in productivity, quality, and input prices and their implications in growth, international trade, resource allocation and industry dynamics. Shengyu’s research agenda involves estimation of firm decisions using static or dynamic structural models with firm-level data.
