Shiro Armstrong

Shiro Armstrong is a Fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University, where he received his Ph.D. in Economics in 2009. He also serves as the Director of the Australia-Japan Research Centre, Director of the East Asian Bureau of Economic Research and the Editor of East Asia Forum Quarterly and East Asia Forum Online. He is a Japan Foundation Fellow, PAFTAD Fellow, Australian Government Endeavour Research Fellow and the Gary Saxonhouse Prize Fellow on Japanese Studies. He has been a visiting fellow at Harvard University, Columbia University, Peking University and Tokyo University
