Shuai Chen is an Assistant Professor in Economics in the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting at the University of Leicester School of Business, U.K. He is also a Research Affiliate of the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA), Fellow of the Global Labor Organization (GLO), and Research Affiliate of the Erasmus School of Economics (ESE) Rotterdam. He was a Researcher in Economics at the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) in 2019-2023, and Visiting Associate of the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at the LSE in Spring 2018. Shuai's research interests include applied microeconomics, labor economics, political economy, and behavioral economics. Before completing his Ph.D. in Economics at Tilburg University, Shuai Chen obtained his Bachelor Degree in Economics from Xiamen University, China, and Master Degree in Mathematical Statistics and Probability from Purdue University, USA.
