Sinziana Petrescu is a Policy Adviser at the Dutch Central Bank. Her work focuses on the policy development and supervision of market and interest rate risks. She is a member of several expert groups, including the Basel Committee's Trading Book Group and the Subgroup of Market Risk of the European Banking Authority. Her main research interests include financial innovation, markets infrastructure and banking regulation. Sinziana studied Finance and Banking at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and at the University of Reading and she received a M.Sc. in Finance and Investments from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
