Sjoerd Hardeman

Sjoerd Hardeman has worked on the economics of science and innovation, publishing in the interdisciplinary field of science and technology studies (STS). His research focuses on the quantitative analysis of science and innovation systems. After completing his doctoral thesis at Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands) he moved to Italy to work as a Postdoctoral Researcher for the Econometrics and Applied Statistics Unit of the European Commission Joint Research Centre. Here he developed indicators in the field of science, innovation, and regional development. At present he works for the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis where his main responsibility concerns an assessment of Dutch science policy.
