Sonali Chowdhry is an empirical economist working on topics spanning trade policy, global value chains and heterogeneity in firm behaviour. She is a Max Weber Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute and a Research Associate at DIW Berlin. She is also affiliated with the Kiel Institute's Trade Policy Task Force. She completed her PhD in Economics as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow from LMU Munich in 2022.
