Sonia Oreffice is Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Alicante (Spain), and Ramón y Cajal Fellow. She obtained her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2004, and her BA in Economics at the University of Venice (Italy) in 1998. Before joining Alicante in 2008, she worked at Clemson University and at CCNY-CUNY. Her research interests are in labour economics, family economics, health economics and applied microeconomics.
