Stefan Ried

Stefan Ried is working as Economist for Monetary Policy at the German Council of Economic Experts. After studying at the Universities of Heidelberg, St. Petersburg (Russia), Berlin and University of California, Berkeley, he received his doctoral level at Humboldt University Berlin (supervisors: Harald Uhlig and Michael Burda), where he also worked at the Institute for Economic Policy and the Collaborative Research Centers 373 and 649. His research interests are in monetary policy, fiscal and monetary interactions and new open economy macroeconomics. He has taught courses on macroeconomics, monetary economics and quantitative macroeconomics and numerical methods at Humboldt University Berlin and University of Mainz.
