Stephen P. Utkus is the head of the Vanguard Center for Investor Research. The Center conducts and sponsors research on investor behavior and decision-making.
Mr. Utkus’s personal research interests include retirement and aging, behavioral economics and household finance. Mr. Utkus received a Bachelor of Science degree from MIT and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the advisory board of the Wharton Pension Research Council, a Visiting Scholar at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a member of the advisory board of the Consumer Finance Institute at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Employee Benefit Research Institute in Washington, D.C.
