Susan W. Parker

Susan W. Parker is Professor of Public Policy at the School of Public Policy and Faculty Associate at the Maryland Population Research Center at the University of Maryland.   She is an economist focusing on the evaluation of education and health policies, with particular expertise in the areas of conditional cash transfer programs and targeting. Prior to coming to Maryland she was a professor at the Center of Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) in Mexico City and most of her research focuses on Mexico. Her recent research has appeared in the Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Economic Literature, Demography, Americon Economic Journal: Economic Policy among others. She is currently a Research Affiliate at the Population Studies Center at the University of Pennsylvania and at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) and on the editorial board of World Development.
