Susanne Fricke is a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena. She is specialising in international trade and development. During her studies she interned at the Economic Diplomacy programme of the South African Institute of International Affairs in Pretoria where she was working on issues concerning global food security and the G20 Agenda as well as on recent developments of global value chains and their implications for emerging and developing countries.
