Sven Langedijk has held various economist, research and management positions at the European Commission since 2001. He headed the European Commission team responsible for developing, negotiating and monitoring the EU-IMF financial support and economic adjustment programme for Ireland in 2010-2012. Until 2010, he contributed to the development of the EU fiscal governance framework and the Stability and Growth Pact and was editor of the Commission's annual flagship report on Public Finances in EMU. He has published on fiscal policy, financial stability, taxation and macro-financial linkages in EMU.
