Tanja Saxell

Tanja Saxell is a Senior Researcher at VATT and a Faculty Member of Helsinki Graduate School of Economics. She has a doctorate in Economics from the University of Helsinki, and she was a visiting post-doc researcher at the Department of Economics of Stanford University and at NYU Stern. She has also advised the Finnish government on issues related to competition and choice reforms in health care. Her work lies at the intersection of health economics and industrial organization. Her research focuses on the efficiency of health care provision, pharmaceutical markets, and intellectual property rights.
