Thomas Buchmueller

Tom Buchmueller is a health economist who is an expert on the economics of health insurance and related public policies. Professor Buchmueller also holds an appointment in Department of Health Management and Policy in the School of Public Health and is on the Institutional Leadership Team of the University’s Institute of Health Policy and Innovation. He is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and an elected member of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Health Economists. In 2011-12, he served as the Senior Health Economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
