Thomas Leoni

Thomas Leoni is a social scientist with a background in social policy and labour market research. He is currently head of the business faculty at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt (Austria). Prior to this, he was a senior economist at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research in Vienna. His research interests include social inequalities, welfare state change and health-related labour market issues, especially in an international comparative perspective. He was a lecturer and visiting scholar at various European universities and was affiliated as research economist with the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) in Boston. He holds MA degrees from the University of Bologna and the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and completed his doctoral studies at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
