Thomas Lustenberger is a Senior Research Associate and the Secretary to the Board of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA since 2021. He formerly held the position of International Policy Specialist / Economist. Thomas worked as an economist at the Swiss National Bank from 2013 until he joined FINMA in 2018. He earned his PhD from the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Basel and holds a MSc in International and Monetary Economics from the University of Bern and the University of Basel. His research interests include information economics, particularly expectation formation in monetary economics, macroeconomics and finance.
