Thorsten Schank is Professor for Microeconomics at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz and a Research Fellow at IZA and LASER. He obtained his PhD from the University of Manchester, UK, in 2001. His main research interests are in applied labour economics and labour market effects of foreign firm activity. His recent work includes papers on linked employer-employee data, works councils, foreign ownership, exporting firms and wage differentials.
