Tim Liu

Tim Liu is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the David Eccles School of Business of the University of Utah. His research examines corporate finance from the perspective of a wide range of stakeholders. His recent research has studied how firms can assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities and measure their impact. He has also studied nonprofit organizational structures, paid family leave policies, the gender gap in corporate directors, and credit ratings. Tim received his PhD in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his BA and BSE from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to his PhD studies, Tim worked in investment banking at Citigroup in New York.
