I have been a researcher at the ifo Institute for Economic Research since 2003 and have been head of economic analysis and forecasting since spring 2014. Previously, I studied economics at the Universities of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and Würzburg and received my doctorate in 2004 from the University of Würzburg, where I also habilitated in 2009. My research focuses on monetary macroeconomics and applied business cycle analysis. I represent the forecasts and policy recommendations based on them in the media and in the context of lectures in public and to politicians.
