Timothy Guinnane

Philipp Golden Bartlett Professor of Economic History, Emeritus at Yale University

Timothy W. Guinnane is the Philipp Golden Bartlett Professor of Economic History, Emeritus, in the Department of Economics at Yale University. After completing his Ph.D. in economics at Stanford University, he was a Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and then Assistant Professor of Economics at Princeton University. He has been at Yale University since 1993, where he teaches European economic history. His research focuses on the demographic and financial history of Europe and North America in the nineteenth and early twentieth century.
