Tobias Schmidt is a senior researcher at the Research Centre of the Deutsche Bundesbank. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Jena, and two M.A.s in Economics from Wayne State University (WSU), Detroit, Michigan and University of Augsburg, Germany. He is currently responsible for the Bundesbank’s wealth survey (“Panel on Household Finances – PHF”) and online survey (“Bundesbank Online Panel Households”- BOP-HH). Prior to the current employment, he worked as a Researcher at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW), Mannheim, Germany. His research interests include household finance, households‘ and firms‘ expectations, survey methodology and innovation activities of firms.
