Tomaso Duso is Head of the Firms and Markets Department at the Deutsches Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung (DIW Berlin), a professor of empirical industrial economics at the Technische Universität (TU) Berlin, a faculty member of the Berlin School of Economics (BSoE), and the spokesperson of the Berlin Centre for Consumer Policies (BCCP). Tomaso is also a member of the German Monopolies Commission, a member of the Economic Advisory Group on Competition Policy (EAGCP) of the European Commission, and a Research Fellow for the CEPR and CESIfo. He is part of the Steering Committee of the CEPR Research and Policy Network in Competition Policy. Tomaso's research interests are in applied econometrics in the fields of industrial organization, competition policy, regulation, and management and he mainly focuses on the evaluation and determinants of product market regulations and competition policy enforcement. Tomaso has advised several public bodies, such as various DGs of the European Commission, the UK Competition Commission and Competition and Markets Authority, the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets, the OECD, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on competition policy issues.
