Toni Roldán Monés

Director, ESADE Centre for Economic Policy and Political Economy at ESADE

Toni Roldán Monés is the Director of the ESADE Centre for Economic Policy and Political Economy (EasadeEcPol), a think tank specialized in Spanish economic policy. He is also a Visiting Professor in Practice at the School of Public Policy of the London School of Economics (LSE). Prior to joining ESADE, Antonio was a Member of the Spanish Parliament, Economics Spokesman and Head of Policy for Ciudadanos, a political party. Throughout the years of the Eurozone crisis, Antonio was the lead analyst for Southern Europe at Eurasia Group, a political risk consultancy. Antonio has also worked as an economist in the Directorate General of Economic and Financial Affairs at the European Commission (DGECFIN) and as an economic advisor at the European Parliament. Antonio holds an MPhil in European Political Economy, from the European Institute at the London School of Economics (LSE) and an MPA in Economic Policy (PEPM) from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). Antonio is also a member of the Spanish Board of the European Council of Foreign Relations (ECFR). He writes for El País and his analysis is regularly quoted in international media such as the FT, The New York Times and The Economist.
