Ugo Albertazzi is Adviser in the Directorate General Macroprudential Policy and Financial Stability of the European Central Bank (ECB). He previously worked in the Directorate General Monetary Policy at the same institution as well as at the Bank of Italy. His research activity focuses on topics such as financial intermediation, financial stability and monetary policy and his papers have been published in international academic journals including the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal International Economics, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and the Journal of Financial Intermediation. Ugo holds a PhD in Economics and Business from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
