Urban Sila

Office of the Chief Economist, Economics Department at Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD)

Urban Sila works at the Office of the Chief Economist in the OECD Economics Department. Prior to joining the OECD, Urban worked at the Analytical and Research Department of the Bank of Slovenia, where his main responsibility was in the area of the labour market. He also acted as a Guest Lecturer in Economics at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Urban holds a PhD degree from the London School of Economics, where he also worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant. Urban has done research on rigidity of wages, effects of windfall gains on labour supply, effects of wage inequality on working hours, and others.
