Valerio Ercolani is an Economist at the Directorate General for Economics, Statistics and Research of the Bank of Italy; he previously worked at the Department of Economics of the Bank of Portugal. He holds a PhD from Bocconi University and a Master in Economics from Tilburg University; he visited both the University College of London and the European Central Bank. His research interests are in macroeconomics, mainly fiscal policy, household finance, health economics and aging.
