Valerio Vacca

Valerio Vacca is currently director within the Financial Stability Directorate, at Banca d'Italia. He has worked in the field of monetary policy implementation and economic research. His research focuses on credit-related issues, such as banks’ pricing effectiveness, bank organization and credit supply, the management of non-performing loans, gender finance, the assessment of the real effects of a bank failure. He chairs a Single Resolution Board (SRB) group on the real effects of a bank failure and contributed to the Financial Stability Board (FSB) evaluations of the effects of the regulatory reforms on financial intermediation.
