Valeriya Dinger

Professor, Institute for Empirical Economic Research at University of Osnabrueck

Valeriya Dinger is a professor at the Institute for Empirical Economic Research, University of Osnabrueck, Germany. Her research focuses on financial markets and institutions. Her current work includes studies on the interaction between financial frictions and macroeconomic dynamics as well as such on the costs and benefits of bank equity issues. Dinger’s research has been published in leading finance and economic journals, among others: The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, The Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, The Journal of Banking and Finance and The Journal of Financial Services Research. Before joining the University of Osnabrueck, Valeriya Dinger was an assistant professor at the University of Bonn. She was also a senior research fellow at the Leeds University Business School as well as visiting researcher at the University of Mannheim, the Deutsche Bundesbank, the Federal Reserve of Cleveland, Norges Bank and Peking University. Dinger received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Bonn.
